Luca Barra

Luca Barra is Senior Assistant Professor at Università di Bologna, Department of Arts, where he teaches Radio and Television History and Digital Media. His research mainly focuses on television production and distribution cultures, the international circulation of media products, the history of Italian television, and the evolution of the contemporary media landscape. He published two books, Palinsesto (Laterza, Roma-Bari 2015) and Risate in scatola (Vita e Pensiero, Milan 2012), and three edited collections, Taboo Comedy (Palgrave, London 2016, with C. Bucaria), Backstage (Unicopli, Milan 2016, with T. Bonini and S. Splendore) and Tutta un’altra fiction (Carocci, Roma 2013, with M. Scaglioni). He is the consulting editor of the Italian TV studies journal Link. Idee per la televisione.
