Philip Drake

Philip Drake is Professor of Film, Media and Communications and Director of the Centre for Communication, Cultural and Media Studies (CCCMS) at Queen Margaret University. Professor Drake has a well developed research profile in film and cultural studies, both in traditional academic outputs and in knowledge exchange activities, having worked with Channel 4, Scottish Enterprise, Creative Scotland, Creative England, NESTA, FACT, BFI and others, including engaging with film and media practitioners on collaborative critical production studies research. His interdisciplinary background emphasises the connections between media practice, policy, cultural and media theory and other subjects.
